We have been working together for almost a year now and she is also a small business owner here in Denver, CO. I thought this was a great opportunity to support another business in my community and she happens to be one of my wonderful students! I hope you enjoy this short interview.
Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sanaz Ashrafian. Sanaz was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Dannia Gazley.
Hi Sanaz, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today. I’m a dental hygienist practicing for about 6 years now. Last year I opened my own practice in Edgewater, CO.
Please tell us more about your brand, Mile High Hygiene Spa. I offer independent dental hygiene services in a relaxing spa-like environment. My patients come to me for teeth cleanings and teeth whitening services.
As you know, we’re big fans of Dannia Gazley and ¡Hola! Learn Spanishwe know you’ve worked with them quite a bit as well. We’d love to hear about your experience working with Dannia Gazley. When I opened my practice, I realized I can no longer depend on those around me to help me communicate with my patients who speak another language. Because Spanish is such a common spoken language, I wanted to be able to fluently and comfortably speak to my patients. Dannia and I have been working together for almost a year now and I am so thankful for her. She goes at a pace I am comfortable with, focuses on not only teaching me how to be fluent but also how to be comfortable with my patients. She is funny, understands my needs as a student and pushes me to learn more and more each week. We do our classes on Zoom right now but they are so comfortable I feel like I am talking to a friend.
