“Do you know what a foreign accent is? It's a sign of bravery.”
¡Hola! Learn Spanish was created in 2016 in Denver, CO. After 10 years of working in Human Resources Management for Corporate America, I decided to make a career change and start doing something that will bring joy to myself and others.
Teaching Spanish allows me to bring people together and share my Hispanic culture with you.
Read my interview with Voyage Denver magazine to learn more about my story!
My intention is to provide an optimal learning environment for my students. By teaching Spanish with patience and kindness, I aspire to create a safe space where students can explore and challenge how far they can go in our Spanish classes and develop the confidence they need to succeed in their journey of learning Spanish as a second language.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Psychology
from San Marcos University in Lima, Perú. I minored in English. I also obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Perú.
I joined the Denver Waldorf School in 2016 as a Spanish substitute teacher and have taught children of all levels (k-12).
I have 3 years of experience teaching Spanish in a classroom setting and doing one-on-one lessons with adults and children. I have completed over 1,000 hours of teaching Spanish and I am still counting!
